Our sangha has been supplicating Anyen Rinpoche to give a word by word commentary on Words of My Perfect Teacher for many years, and finally, out of his kindness, he has granted this request and will begin giving detailed teachings and commentary on this essential text this fall. Words of My Perfect Teacher, by Patrul Rinpoche, is an essential Longchen Nyingthig text that practitioners rely on to complete Ngondro, the preliminary practices, and to enter the unmistaken path of Secret Mantra.

Patrul Rinpoche was an enlightened master, who, though he lived the life of a vagabond, was one of the most illustrious spiritual teachers of the nineteenth century. His principal teacher was Jigmé Gyalwé Nyugu, a great master who was one of the foremost students of Jigmé Lingpa. From Jigmé Gyalwé Nyugu he received no less than twenty five times the teachings on the preliminary practices of the Longchen Nyingthig, as well as many other important transmissions. From time to time he would write a text of his own and these treatises were later collected into six volumes of his writings. Among them is The Words of My Perfect Teacher, which our tradition and sangha follow closely.

- Rinpoche asks that students register and commit for the full cycle as listed below, in addition to any future teachings that may be added in order to complete this very important topic.
- Rinpoche requests that local students should attend in person, not online.
