Medicine Buddha Monlam- May 2026- Denver & Montreal Remote

Anyen Rinpoche, Allison Choying Zangmo
Denver, CO, Streaming in Montreal
2026-05-09 - 2026-05-11

Please join us for this year's annual Medicine Buddha Monlam. This is a very special opportunity for us to come together and pray for all sentient beings with Anyen Rinpoche and Allison Choying Zangmo.
In the Medicine Buddha sadhana, we make aspirations to alleviate the many difficulties facing beings around the world, including illness, mental suffering, poverty, hunger, conflict, war, and natural disasters. We also pray for those experiencing hardship, oppression, or servitude, and make aspirations for the safety, comfort, healing, liberation, and enlightenment of all beings. This practice is especially meaningful during these times of widespread difficulty and uncertainty.
Anyen Rinpoche encourages all of his students to gather together for these special three days of prayers and practice!

We will offer the program in person at our Denver center, as well as livestream it for those attending at our Canada center. Online attendance will not be offered.

Join us for teachings and practice connected to the Medicine Buddha tradition. Anyen Rinpoche continues a tradition begun long ago by his Root Lama, Tsara Dharmakirti Rinpoche, who realized the Medicine Buddha practice and was renowned for using it to heal not only himself from cancer but also many others from mental and physical illness. Anyen Rinpoche has continued this tradition at Orgyen Khandroling, where the Medicine Buddha Monlam has become one of our longest-established and beloved ongoing practices. We are happy to have the opportunity to share this special practice and tradition with all who attend.

During the retreat, we will practice Mipham Rinpoche’s A Condensed Sadhana of the Medicine Buddha: An Excellent Vase of Nectar. The benefits of this sadhana are vast, bringing healing and benefit not only for ourselves but for all beings, as we make aspirations for healing and relief from suffering for beings everywhere.

By focusing ourselves fully on this practice, we not only increase our love, compassion, and ability to benefit others but also extend our prayers and aspirations far beyond ourselves, offering support and healing to many beings. Anyone with a sincere wish to heal or be healed is welcome to attend.
