About Rinpoche and Allison:

Anyen Rinpoche is a Vajrayana Buddhist master of the Longchen Nyingthig lineage tradition. He lives in Denver, Colorado, where he founded the Orgyen Khandroling Dharma Center. Rinpoche is not only a seasoned Buddhist scholar–he also spends a portion of each year in retreat at his retreat land in the Colorado high plains.

Allison Choying Zangmo is Anyen Rinpoche’s spiritual partner and has served as his translator for many years. In recent years, she began co-teaching many programs with Rinpoche, adding her insights to support Western dharma practitioners.

Rinpoche and Allison founded the Phowa Foundation, which assists practitioners in achieving a spiritual death. This September, the Phowa Foundation will host a level 1 Dying with Confidence program [Upcoming Programs] in Bath, Maine. They also founded Orgyen Khandroling Canada on the West Island of Montreal, where they teach regularly.

About their new book:

How do we break free from the habits and compulsions that bring us suffering? In the twelfth century, Sakya Drakpa Gyeltsen penned four short but significant lines, known as Parting from the Four Attachments, offering a concise guide to becoming a genuine dharma practitioner and charting a path to enlightenment. In The Flowing River of Dharma, Anyen Rinpoche and Allison Choying Zangmo offer a fresh, contemporary exploration of this foundational Vajrayana Buddhist text.

The book includes a foreword by His Holiness the Gongma Trichen (Sakya Trichen Rinpoche), who writes, "Parting from the Four Attachments extracts the essence of the sutra and tantra in its entirety and contains the heart of all upadesha instructions… I praise and rejoice in the publishing of this book, written in English by Anyen Rinpoche and Allison Choying Zangmo."
